Matt Connor - Partner
I did a variety of jobs and learned some important life lessons on my way to becoming a chartered accountant.
My early career involved everything from building work to time in an advertising agency and some exciting travel adventures. I learned the difference between 'having a job' and 'having a plan' to achieve what you really want in life.
I decided to build on my business degree and take control of my own destiny by becoming a chartered accountant. Six years with leading accounting firms gave me the opportunity to work with a broad range of corporate, not-for-profit and private clients. As I worked alongside my clients, I was able to use my accounting skills to help them achieve their goals too.
Today, I provide strategic business advisory, accounting and tax advice to medical professionals to help them make effective financial and business decisions. I find it enormously satisfying to see the value that we add to their businesses, and the stress that we remove from their lives.
Helping people grow their business and successfully navigate what could otherwise be difficult circumstances is very fulfilling at a personal level. That's the primary reason I do what I do.
In my free time, my life revolves around my wife and three children, and keeping contactwith my circle of friends.
