HECS / HELP discounts continue

Posted on 21 January 2014

Legislation designed to remove the HECS / HELP up front and voluntary repayment discounts from 1st January 2014 has not been passed by the Senate.  As a result, the discount will continue for the time being.

Medical Financial believe the continuation of a 5% discount on voluntary HECS / HELP repayments of $500 or more is good news for doctors looking to repay HECS / HELP liabilities early.
